Aromas of raspberry, grapefruit and dried herbs combine on the nose. On the palate, the Cru Sainte Victoire is focused and fresh, with vibrant acidity and a long finish.

Cru Rosé – does that make sense? For a long time, rosé was not considered to have much depth of quality; a rosé was a rosé, nothing more and nothing less. But of course, where the grapes grow makes a difference for rosé too, and in the most important rosé region in the world, people have given serious thought to which terroirs produce the best wines.
This led to the creation of the new appellation "Côtes de Provence Cru Sainte Victoire" in 2025. Attentive readers of this newsletter will already know one of the finest representatives of this new Cru: the Mas de Cadenet Cru Sainte Victoire.
This wine from the limestone slopes around Sainte Victoire has fascinated me for a long time. The blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah impresses not through power and richness, but through elegance and finesse. The colour is a delicate pale pink and the aromas are complex and fresh. The wine works beautifully as an aperitif, but is equally a lively companion at the table — especially when fish dishes are being served.
