Agathe Bursin has been committed to cultivating her vineyards as gently as possible for many years. When I walk with her through the vineyards around Westhalten, I can feel how deeply connected she is to nature. No wonder: even as a child, she played among the old vines and snacked on ripe grapes. She wants to pass this experience on to her own children. After a long conversion process, she has now received the organic seal.

Whether this makes her wines taste better is a matter of taste. For me, organic certification is not a guarantee of quality, but a promise: a commitment to do everything possible to preserve the basis for outstanding wine quality. In any case, the organic Sylvaner from the Lutzeltal valley impressively demonstrates that organic viticulture in no way stands in the way of quality.

The wine smells of ripe apples and pears. This is complemented by subtle yeast and walnut aromas. On the palate, it is lively with a smooth mouthfeel and fresh acidity.
