“There's nothing to improve, nothing that could be better, except you in the here and now and the day by the sea” ... the Fantastischen Vier, a German Rap Quartett, rapped on the record Lauschgift and these lines awaken a longing in me. I would also love a break by the sea. Just listen to the waves, feel the sun, and soak up the sea breeze.

Oenops Apla is a wine that at least briefly gives me the feeling of looking out over the azure waters of a Greek island. The wine is the creation of one of Greece's most talented winemakers, Nikos Karatzas. He combines the three typical Greek grape varieties Malagousia, Assyrtiko and Vidiano to create a harmonious and refreshing white wine ... that transports you to the beach, at least for a brief moment.

The wine is fruity and fresh with notes of vineyard peach, orange and pineapple. On the palate, it is fruity and lively with a subtle salinity and a long finish.
