I've written about the wines of L'Arco here several times before and always wondered why they aren't better known in the wine world. Today I'll once again hand over to the esteemed colleagues at Vinous, one of the most respected wine publications, because they too have now discovered the magic of this estate …

"We've all heard the stories of producers who worked in some capacity with (Amarone god) Giuseppe Quintarelli before launching their own projects. But one story we rarely hear is that of Luca Fedrigo of L'Arco… Fedrigo began making wine at a young age and comes from a family of grape growers.

The moment that changed everything was when, at the age of 17, he was taken on for an apprenticeship with Giuseppe Quintarelli. Over the next ten years he rose to the position of cellar master and assistant to Quintarelli, learning the craft of winemaking directly from him. It was a bond that was more familial than merely professional … This is what makes the wines of L'Arco something truly magical. Here is a Quintarelli disciple who stands out."

A cuvée of Corvina, Rondinella, Sangiovese and Molinara. The wine offers aromas of black cherry, blackberry and herbs. On the palate it is concentrated and intense, with a long finish.
